November
The 4th anniversary of the glorious 44-day Patriotic War is being celebrated nationwide. These historic days, which marked the liberation of our lands from occupation, were made possible thanks to the Azerbaijani army united under the “Iron Fist” of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, as well as the sacrifice of our martyrs and veterans.
According to Qafqazinfo, from the first day of the war, the entire country came together for the highest cause. During those days, 166 Freight and Logistics and 156 Evacuation companies also worked tirelessly toward this mission. While company employees volunteered to head to the front, the company itself carried out tire transportation in the Fuzuli, Beylagan, and Shamkir directions. 166 Freight and Logistics also played an active role in transporting military equipment to the liberated territories. As part of these initiatives, the company regularly sent food, clothing, and other supplies to soldiers and transported public donations collected in warehouses to the front lines free of charge on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. As in previous years, the company continues to support the “Great Return” to Karabakh, participating in the relocation of the native residents to the liberated areas.
One of the most important facts is that today the company employs 150 veterans and war participants. With heroes who made history among its ranks, the company once again marked November 8 Victory Day with a special approach. A Victory Day event was organized for them at one of the city’s well-known hotels. The event began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs. After a national dance performance, a video highlighting the company’s activities during the Patriotic War was screened.
After a short break, the program continued with the performance of “Shusha’s Mountains,” followed by the screening of the film “Heroes Among Us,” prepared with the participation of 10 veteran employees. At the end, company leadership expressed pride in working alongside veterans and war participants, thanked them, and presented gifts and certificates. The event concluded with young singer Mardan Kazimov’s performance of the song “My Azerbaijan.”
